IV. Pointing Machines For Bars & Tubes

Machine Construction
The machine body is made of a solid steel block. Three hydraulic cylinders are installed, staggered by 90°. The cylinder linings are superfinished and interchangeable. The pistons and piston rods are made as one-piece-construction, the surface hardened and ground. The oil supply to the cylinders is achieved and secured by means of appropriate drill holes in the steel body. The hydraulic control unit is flanged directly to the body of the press, and, therefore, leakage or pipe break within the system is not possible.

The hydraulic unitcan be placed separately, or, alternatively, it can be installed directly below the head of the press. The oil pump with the safety valves and the oil cooler with filter are incorporated in the oil container. The nominal pressure of the presses amounts to 160 bar, pressures up to 300 bar are possible.

The electrical equipment consists of a control panel case and a standard A.C. - three phase motor. The nominal connecting voltage is 380 V, 50 cycles; other voltages are possible on request. The control panel case can be placed separately; if it is expected that the machine must be moved frequently to other places, we recommend to mount the conrol panel case directly outside of the machine.
