MAHLE has been manufacturing and marketing industrial filters since Purolator Products, Inc was originally founded in 1962. In 1974, Purolator Filter GmbH was taken over in its entirely by The MAHLE Group, Stuttgart, and merged with Knect Filterwerke GmbH, Stuttgart in 1977. The Purolator name licensing agreement expired in mid-1990. Today all products and services are offered under the trade name of MAHLE Industrial Filters.
